DESIGN CONCEPT:
THE MOOD @ LKF located at the top of Lan Kwai Fong, is an 12-storey office building revamped into a boutique hotel, a new architectural genre for urban Hong Kong. A white aluminum cladded mask in organic cellular shapes over black glass is created at the lower part of the building, framed in LED lights. The name and the logo of the hotel are designed with two “O”s to correspond with this organic cellular motif which is repeated throughout the hotel together with the black-and-white colors to provide an urban chic feel echoing the neighborhood of LKF.
